Nike’s brief to us was simple. They gave us seven of their athletes and told us, make them famous. That meant we didn’t have to talk about what they represent, how far they’ve come, how much they do or don’t get paid, or how they inspire the next generation. Basically, we could just talk about how badass they are on the pitch. What the Football, celebrates some of the best football players on the planet. With a frenetic and exciting pacing to match the buzz around this year’s tournament. Starring Megan Rapinoe, Sophia Smith, Sam Kerr, Wang Shuang, Ada Hegerberg, Debinha, Alex Morgan and Grace Geyoro.
Along with the bespoke athlete films, we created a design system for the accompanying key visuals, featuring custom type treatments.
